This is a complaint aimed at the admin here.

For yet another time......I tried to join a game which had already been started.

As soon as I realised this......I left the room. When I checked the results later.......I found it had reported I lost because i was missing. Hell I left the damn room before tomba could even press ja/.

Why worry when the game was unranked anyway?

Because the damn results calculator shows unranked games too.........thus making a mokerey of the results.

Also......(I am not sure about this) what if the opponents missing counter tracks unranked games too? This would mean I get classed as leaving a game.......when I never even played.

The system you currently have in place.......is flawed. Noone should be able to lose a game when they did not even play in the game. Change the damn system and erase my name from that game. I NEVER PLAYED TOMBA TODAY.

This is not the first time this has happened.......and I am damn sick of taking a unranked loss for games I never played.

if you join a game and leave it, you get a loss for it. nothing strange about that.
but i think this was different. so what happends. we need details.

i think tomba was in a room, joined the game at first place and was waiting for a player.
you go in same room and then what....?

It sounds to me like Tomba was playing someone else who did a runner, unbeknownst to Ace who tried to join the game. Is this right Ace? so when you saw it was someone elses game, you exited room pronto. maybe simultaneous as you exited, tomba hit the /ja, thus giving you the shaft.

ok, but if this was the situation, its not a system prob.

i always mention: please ask before you enter a game.
in addition tomba must agree and did this to a different player and the
player who left was an unreg player.
we will change this in future also for unreg players. maybe a password to
rejoin a game, maybe something different.

in the moment, please ask if you enter a room with players, if you can join.

maybe ace can add some details.

Bob pretty much gets it spot on.

I see tomba with a game open.....and only him in the room.
I enter the room....and while waiting for the gamefield to open (which sometimes takes a while) i click "join" from the drop down menu. The words........AceRimmer would like to join....accept ja/ decline nein/ appear on the screen.
Seeing as this is not a new game......I exit the room very quickly.....but obviously not quickly enough. My name then appears in the results as having played tomba and left the game??????????????????

This should not be allowed to happen.

ok.....its only unranked.....but it looks bad in the list of times a player leaves a game.....and also in the player v player stats.

It needs fixing so a player cannot be classed as losing a game.....unless he actually plays in that game.

I recommend that postings with less than 25 letters (or with just 25 "lol's", smilies or similar bullshit) should not be possible in the future.
This would obviously make some jerks to newbies to the forum (if you reduce the drivel aswell some might even have -100 postings after that) but I always found it a quite misleading statement...
