where are the real players ????????

i agree with Sadistic for once, there are to many players who think
they are the god of stratego but don't play much.

i believe that when you play an average off 2 games a day is normal.

10 months = 10 . 30 = 300 . 2 = 600 games

my opinion is that above 400 games til now, you are a real ranked
player and below 400 ..................................... pffffffffffffffffff

also when you played many games.....like me about 1000, than you
are lonely or having problems

i get to many complains from my familie and friend that i spending
to much time here on gravon.


what i wanna say is that in the rankinglist many players played less than 150 games till now and they will stay high in ranking so other players who played a lot more don't get closer or it takes a long time and many many wins.

for new players be sure that you win a lot in the begin or practice and later play ranked.........you will be greatfull.

600 is a bit too much eindhoven, not everyone has very much time to play. Maybe 5 games per month or something. I read it before somewhere.

yes but he meant that he and sadistic agree about the thing that a real ranked player playes more then 400 games in one year it wasn't going about 5 games in a month. i agree with you and sadistic too eind

when Playa1 does play 5 games a month he wil be number 1 for the next
5 years, and the concurents must do the same or win each game they play to get closer.

as you already pointed out, only a few (crazy) guys (like you ) spend 90% of their live with playing stratego.
why blame somebody for 5 games in a month?
i guess with a full-time job and a family at home you only have 1 or 2 hours at the weekend for playing.
additionally, do you really think playa1 or somebody else in the top10 would have a significant worse rating when playing more game?
with more games i mean maybe 1or 2 per day and not 5 or 6 like you or whoever because when you play so many game you do not care so much about losing or winning.
this is the real reason why your rating would be lower!
no game is easier to win as against a guy who played already 5 games before


i made a small calculation:
the average of games played in the 2006 rating is 285
that is 1.17 games per day
if we leave out all the guys without a job (which means over 700 games played) the average comes down to 187 games.
that is 0.77 games per day or 24 games per month.

now you can see playa1, acerimmer or esquire are totally in the range of the average.

And I dont think ranking will be much different when Playa1 would play double as now or something.

But I dont like the Kleier ratings, it is too slow I think. I think the WCG rating give a better view of the skill and form of a player on the very moment.

I think if the top players would play more their rankings would increase. Which would also increase the probability of losing more games. But these players are top notch so I don't think it would matter.

My rating stays around the same areas no matter how many games I play. THis is the same rating I had last year too. I played more last year, but did not work like I do now.

Leto and Support do not play enough games, I agree, but Oh well. Both players would be ranked very high even if they played 1000 games this year. Top players do focus when they play more than one game a day. This topic is rubbish. And the only reason Sadistic says this is because he is not in the top 10.

Dang, if you give Lightwing and Ricardo "red flags" there will not be anyone left in the forum besides Jerry, Ogetarts, and GooGoo selling his games.
