Last week I was playing a game against Sadistic, I made some mistakes and was taking some risks with lottoing, the bomb formation of Sadistic was clear in my opinion. It wasnt due to Sadistic cause He was angry about it, he hates lottoing I gues.
Anyways in the end game. I had plenty of low pieces, one minor 1 scout 6 unknown bombs a few sercheants en luitenants and a spy. And 1 Colonel. I did not move a single other piece, only my Colonel.
Sadistic had one Marshall, Colonel (which he did not want to exchange) Major and a cap. His flag was closed with 3 bombs. My flag was not but he did not know.
Sadistic won the game by rotating his Colonel and Marshall, I forgot which one was the marshall after at least 10 minutes of rotating and I offered a few times before a draw which he rejected. I lost my colonel to his Marshall and the game was over.
Is this Legal and if its legal, do you think it is sportive and part of the game?

this silly behavior by rotating pieces is the specialty of sir shihan. he is rotating with 3 (up to 6) pieces from the beginning on.
this is pretty annoying for me, since i like faster games.
of course, it's not illegal, but still not the most professional way to play stratego in my opinion.
i'm wondering why sadi didn't want to trade the cols... _________________ "All you have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to you" Mithrandir |

yeah he can trade them and play with three pieces then is it a remise always but he wanted to win so he didn't trade and rotating is just ideal to play with cause some people can't follow it anymore |

Sadistic does not want to trade the colonels because then I could walk with my pieces at 3 sides and he have to let one slip through. Thats the reason I think. (or I could move one piece in a corner and he had to move 2 pieces there to get it. Then I can escape with another piece).
Rotating of pieces is legal in most cases of course but I wonder if its legal in this case. If it is legal to rotate pieces for hours.....
I think there should be a limit. |

Hi All,
Its alowed on real board tourneys too. Some people are specially known for doing it in dutch its called īcarouselī.
Most players will forget some pieces after a time. So i think itīs normal u try it but itīs not much tactic in it to win the game in this matter.

I call it the "Rapunzel Shuffle" and I loved using it on a lottoing loon like you, rubenstein. You lottoed continuously and I warned you; "keep lottoing and I will make you pay with a long gruesome loss". You kept lottoing and you paid dearly for it. Against a scrub like you, I always bomb in my flag. It came as good advice from Esquire and I advocate it. After all, a scrub has much fewer tools in his box and thus, has a much lower threshold for when he begins lottoing. You are the type who loses hope after losing a captain and begins lottoing. The "Rapunzel Shuffle" was only part of the deception. What you are failing to mention is the way that I shuffled and then followed with ingenius, subtle, passive retreating movements of my marshall. THAT is what made you believe it was my colonel. Lets face it; you feel like a fool for being exploited the way you were. However, you deserved it after repeated lottoing. I will always try to make the defeats even more painful for anyone who plays a mindless game like that. Your claims of easily recognized bomb patterns is nonsense. You merely played like a fool and lost like one. |

believe what you want to believe Sadistic.
Offcourse I know you always put your flag between bombs and I used it as advantage in this game.
And let me tell you this: You wont stop me lottoing by these warnings, you only show fear for lottoing people |

Wrong again, junior. The day I fear a game is the day I should be terminated. The fact that I play so often and against anybody shows that I am not one of the high rated players who is fearful. Fear lotto? LOL. A lottoing fool is the easiest person to beat. Sure, he has a chance to get lucky but that is not the point. Lottoing reduces the game to a mindless level and that is what is offensive about it.
Do you think you are the only lotting fool who has suffered excrutiating blowouts in my wrath? I do not like lottoing so I make a point of making the loss that much more painful for the offender, as I did with you. I can understand lottoing when the game becomes out of reach. I do it myself. However, when a player loses control of himself in a close game and lottoes like a moron, it destroys the meaning of everything in the game that preceded it. That @ss whipping hurt you so deeply that you wrote this post. I couldn't ask for more. Oh, the glory! |

My lotoing had nothing to do with your victorie cause I did not hit a single bomb dont forget that So my lottoing % against you is 100% while I never lotoed you before .
I wrote this post cause I would like to know if it were legal what you did, If it is legal someone can rotate pieces for a hour or something, that would be crazy. |

Please change the poll to read. Would you like to see Ruben stop arguing with Sadistic?
Is it a lost cause to argue with Sadistic?
Is it likely that both sides were generally correct? That a known bombed in flag holds 99.44/100% protection when you can keep your colonel away from a forced swap to play all three lanes?
That Sadistic played the game with defensive measures and yet as we know he does not like to accept draws and loathes them? That the game had not yet reached the point of Sadi gambling for an open flag? Do we know that Sadi will gamble for an open flag when desparate? Do we know that is untimely to gamble while the opponent is still busy making poor decisions? Was he correct in not gambling if he senses the opponent can either be duped or frustrated into bad decisions?
Is it possible that ruben's game needs an enhancement to use trickery, conceal the spy as long as possible in order to either kill the martial or force a swap of colonels? Could he of forced a colonel swap and sacrifice the spy in the process to increase his chances?
Is paying attention to an obvious rotation ploy your duty as a player of this game, especially when it only involves 2 pieces at the end of a game?
Is whining about not paying attention a sign that one has a severe emotional attachment to beating a much more skilled opponent and that if this haunting continues mental health care premiums are going to have to be collected from minors in order to play at gravon?
Isn't it such a common attribute of puberty to want to show up a grown man? To best him?
Is your hat off to ruben anyhow for trying so hard to avoid the frustration disease that he has slithered into?
Can he make a comeback?
Are any sessions scheduled for this young man to get the therapy he needs to lift himself of this enormous weight on his back that will haunt him for the rest of his boyhood days?
Has his mother pleaded with Stratego's admins to lock his ip address so that we do not have to suffer anymore of these posts?
Will AceRimmer earn respect if he plays Keyser_Soze in UL?
Did I beat Keyser_Soze 5 of 8 in rated barrage tonite?
Will I lose the next 8 to him?
You've received an A on the exam if you answered yes to all of the above questions.
I swear I didn't read the "18 mvp" post till after I posted this. I ain't know brownnoser. In fact I'd trade that post in, cause I feel I'm going to go on a losing cycle now. Thanks bud for setting me up for failure. But really, can you just stifle on the rubenmeister for a week or so. I'd appreciate it.
Instead tell of us how you know that Wussy is getting Pxxxy |

No I like to argue with him

I do think I needed it I forget to let the spy join the game.

Maybe but I think it is a weak Tactic if you dont agree a draw. But I think I have to accept it looking at the poll results.
After this you speak as a foolish man with nonsense questions. Maybe you think you are funny and want some attention. |

I am beginning to think very few have a sense of humor on this site, or they just do not understand the humor. Whatever the case, give it up and stop responding to a post just because you do not agree with what the author has said AND do not have anything useful to offer to the discussion. Art's post was again funny, and ruben I do not understand why you do not understand his jokes. |
