Ok, I have a new team now. We have 4 USA players to compete in the tournament.
OGETARTS 1492
tableplay 1513
Apollo 1618
StrategyStar 1639
Total points = 6262 (all 4 are from the same country so we get 6300 as our limit )
Thanks,
OGE |

How will it be played? Is it too late to get on a team? Thanks, blue. |

So I'm on a team. I don't know how I got on this team but I'm fine with it if they are. When do we play and what are the rules? I guess it's a good thing I periodically check this board or I wouldn't even know I was playing! Lol! Oh, and please, tell me this is a CLASSIC tournament we're talking about? Gracias, and luck all, blue. |

Thanks OGE. I actually sent him a PM, so he should have already got the info.
As for the tourny. We have 10 teams currently. It will be too hard to have a bracket style tournement since the teams will be uneven after the first round. So I propose we have a swiss style setup. This is where each team will play all the other teams ONE time. Than we add up the totals from all the battles and the team with the most points wins the tournament. This is the same way Gravon did its Winter tournament last year.
Any other suggestions, please let me know because I am very interested. Also, team captains start sending me your individual team member numbers (1-4) by PM [the private message tab located below this post]. Remember, you do not need any special order, you can pick numbers based on rating, or any other ways you want. I am going to tell JR my team's numbers before I receive anyone else's. This will keep it fair, and stop teams from being able setup up "easy" matches. |

Another way you could do it would be to create two pools of 5. Each team plays the team in its pool. Take the top 2 from each pool and cross play (1st from pool 1 plays 2nd from pool 2 etc) That's a standard procedure for most international competitions. Luck, blue. |

I really like this way blue. Unless someone has another idea I think we will use this format. What about games. SHould they be best of 3 or just one game each until the final round.
Also, how should I divide the teams, by rating????
Let me know everyone, I want this to be a good fun and fair tournement. |
