Now, you may not be cheating these days. I believed that after our chat a couple of months ago. But there is no way to know, and your sudden memory loss and hostility in the threads I’ve read sure make me question that position. It’s certainly not fair for you to stand on a high horse when your history of online play suggests dishonesty. You are a known nameswitcher and cheater. The managers at Gravon have been involved with online Stratego even longer than we have and are well aware of your past. Why then is it any surprise when they are skeptical after you are caught again?

Any player can play unranked under a allias to Scout set ups, are yu suggesting Darth told you his allias for this purpose?

I played Darth's alias after you told me he had one. I asked him "his alias name I don't remember" if he was Darth and he said it was. We had a very lengthy conversation. I don't recall the name he was using. I'm sure you do since you are the one who told me about it. You were quite upset about his having an alias name, even for unranked games.


As far as us having a conversation in the gameroom, it was perhaps 2 weeks ago when you mentioned to me that you would like to bury the hatchet if I was willing. I told you that sounds good.

As far as you comment about me accepting responsibility and trying to turn the argument, I feel it is quite inappropriate for someone who has used an alias in the past to chastise me for the same. You, Jerry, state you have never used an alias, and therefore, though some of your words I have found offensive, you at least have more of a right for self righteous indignation than a person who has committed the same offense as me.

You are diverting the argument Saad. I have never used an alias to cheat on a rated game. I made a quite lengthy post about that after you told me Jerry was angry with me for using an alias for unrated play. You replied to that post btw, so I know you have read it.

The point is not that I, you, or anyone else has used a different nic. Most probably have at some time. The point is that some have used them to cheat on rated games. You have done that. That is the problem.

There was someone logged in as jerry about 2 weeks ago who asked me about burying the hatchet just as I mentioned above. Now you say that was not you. That leaves 2 possibilities:

1. a fake jerry logged into gravon

2. old drunk jerry

Actually, no. When I play alias games I almost exclusively play unregistered or very low raters that I would never play as Darth.

I published the aliases I’ve used. I invite you or anyone else to peruse the logs and find an instance of my playing a registered club member with one of my aliases and then playing them later as Darth. Of the few you will find I think if you ask them you will also find that prior to playing them as Darth I revealed I had faced them with an alias. When I play a game I want it to be fair.

…as opposed to you, who in 2000 played probably 100+ games in the old club as Saad, rising to #1. …and also played probably 100+ games as Billy, also rising to #1. In both instances playing the same players unbeknownst to them and recording their sets along the way (Saad was very proud of his dossiers in those days, and telling how he played with a Stratego board next to the computer so he could catalogue the sets). There is no telling how many players you cheated. I faced Billy 4 times myself. Fortunately you only burned me once, but it was very costly. Quite the achievement old friend.

You are probably the most infamous cheater in the brief history of online Strat..lol. Are you cheating today? I really don’t know. Do I trust you? About as much as I trust Bill Clinton.
