Hi,
I was playing Skilgannon under an unregistered name ( xX.unknown.Xx).
Meanwhile playing i got disconnected and returned on time to finish the game, the situtaion was : i had 2 luits, and he a serge + cap.. his flag was open and mine was bombed in.
He wanted me to take a chance.. and i didn't because i wanted to gamble with both of my luitenants.. after 5 ( or more ) minutes he left the game... i w8ed 15 min ( even it was UNranked ) and won....
Again some1 who leaves game.....

Hello everyone,
just a short answer to Lightwings words, because he "forgot" some important points:
1.) One of his pieces was at the end pinned by my Captain, so he would never get 2 chances. I told him that. So he had only one choice, a 50:50 chance.
2.) He was between the two pieces of his choice (Bomb + Flag) SEVERAL TIMES, but went away again. If he would have hit the bomb, he would have lost - what he was afraid of.
3.) Then i offered a draw, which he refused.
4.) I asked him politely to make his choice. He said that he would do it now.
But then he moved again between the pieces - and away again, he did not make his choice.
5) Once i left the room - as a warning - but came back again. Again he did not make the choice.

Only then did i leave him, because his teasing was obviously endless and he was not willing to take his chance, but also did not accept a draw. Then i left him - and i would do so again.

As I already said.. i hoped u would move ur cap so i can gamble them both
I wanted to w8 a few minutes more... if still not.. I would have toke a chance.
And don't forget how u got that cap... by stupid gambling...

I only said : People who go on UNregistered names to scout others their strategie are silly.. i played Skilgannon 2 times b4,
So why would i "scout" his strategie?

To Jerry : Lighthead isn't that an insult?, for me it is.. why it is not been removed?

Hi,

that situation occurs often. Noone want to do a risky move so both players keep running around.
Without a clock, there is no rule which says at what point such a game will end. Theoretically you could still be running around on the game field...

IMHO the result should be a draw. Perhaps Stratego is missing a rule like chess: If no pawn is hit for 50 moves, the game ends in a draw.

Just leaving a game usually is not fair. But in your situation i think it was ok. The game was unranked, so there wasn't even the need to wait 15 minutes.

Without additional rules, there is no solution to such situations except using a clock.
