It happens a lot, to me it does. Turtle players.... 30 seconds each move. No more! It stops now! Only Bronstein (30 spiel). If you don't like it, don't bother to join the game! I am eliminating the turtles from now on.
Last game i played against one of them.....
Game lasted 40.22 minutes. Wellington needed 5,30 minutes in total, you guess what the opponent needed. No more!!!! |

40 minutes for a game is a long time compared with the majority of games here on Gravon. But compared with face to face games it's an ordinary duration. If your opponent needed 35 minutes for 300-350 moves, that's not more than one move in 6 or 7 seconds. And I know that your setups can give your opponents something to think about.
In my opinion pondering is one of the interesting parts of the game. Of course it shouldn't be overplayed.
30 minutes Bronstein is too short to my taste. Maybe we could agree on 50 min Bronstein? In practice the game will rarely take more than 30 min in this mode. |

You are wrong Ritter, i'll explain. In total 300-350 moves. So he moved 150-175 times. Let's just say he moved 175 times. He needed 35 minutes, that's 2.100 seconds. Divided by 175 moves makes 12 seconds each move. Sometimes the turtle moves faster. That means that most moves take more than 12 seconds, some even up to 30 seconds.
It's not a problem when you have to think over a couple of moves, but the turtle only seems to be fast when the turtle is on the winning hand.
Count till 12, you'll see that it aint normal for every relatively easy move!
So, no more for me! Bronstein 30 spiel. If one doesn't like it, don't join my game!

I think 300-350 moves means that you made 300-350 moves and your opponent made 300-350 moves.
Isn't it normal that you need more time for thinking when you are in a worse position?
In the 30 min Bronstein mode you have only 5 min thinking time for the whole game. That is sometimes enough, but can sometimes be quite stressful. Sometimes I want to have time to think in a difficult situation, so I don't like this mode. |

A feature gravon needs is the electro shock booster for these times when players take a long time to make the most basic moves. A little zap of juice will wake up even the most sluggish nitwit.
Most of the time, there is no need to think about moves. The few occasions that arise when you have to take time to think about a move, are few and far between. I suggest that the electro shock booster is the perfect remedy for this simple minded trait of "turtle players". |

No, it's 300-350 moves in total! Maybe Spion can acknowledge this.
And turtles always need a long time for basic moves too, even the openingsmove. Thats just in their character! So again, bronstein 5 mins for me.
I can tell you, that i already lost a game because my 5 mins ran out
