ULTIMATE LIGHTNING#
The Ultimate Lightning version of Stratego is similar#
to Stratego Classic but is faster to#
play due to the use of fewer units(20). #
A new game feature called Rescue has#
also been added to gameplay. #

WINNING THE GAME#
The first player to attack an opponent's Flag captures#
it and wins the game. If you cannot move or attack on#
your turn, you lose the game. #
#
RESCUE#
Twice per game, you can rescue one of#
your previously defeated units. #
When you move any of your units#
onto a square in your enemies back row, #
you may regain one of your defeated units. #
Once in the back row, immediately#
select and place your rescued unit in any unoccupied#
space on your half of the battlefield. Each piece can#
only perform a rescue once in any game. #
#
MOVEMENT AND BATTLES#
Units move and attack one square at a time, #
forward, backward or sideways. , the attacking unit ALWAYS win!!#
#
EXCEPTIONS: #
Captain. #
Captains can move two spaces per turn, #
either in a straight line, or by changing direction#
after the first space moved. #
#
SCOUTS#
Scouts have the same attributes as they do in Stratego#
Classic, but now feature the Miner skill of having the#
ability to defeat Bombs.Miner has not more this function to defeat bombs.
Scouts cannot rescue other units. #

Hi all

I am no expert on the game of U.L.!

But i wish to correct a obvious error that Agressor made when he stated the rules for U.L.

Agressor wrote ..... , the attacking unit ALWAYS win!!#

This is INCORRECT

Obviously if a major attacked a marshall the attacking major would lose (not win as agressor says).

The only difference between classic and U.L. as far as winning by attacking instead of being attacked, is in the case of two pieces of SAME RANK.
Where if a battle was fought between two pieces of the SAME RANK, then the ATTACKING piece would win.

So i hope to see many more players playing U.L. in the near future.

I would just like to agree with agresor and AceRimmer about U.L being alot of fun!
I have really only been playing U.L for the last couple of weeks or so and i ant won that many but cos it is something different to the normal classic with lots of unexpected twists i am thirsty for more!
Once you have played a few times you will realise it is alot more fun than classic!

But i always shunned it.......OH , I DONT PLAY U.L.!

Yeah, then one day i gave in and tried it.

And guess what?

I loved it!

It brought an extra demension to stratego, which you dont get with classic.

Does this mean you might try U.L. Sadistic?

I hope you and many more do try it!

I recently played a few games of U.L. with leto, he is a really good U.L. player and i really think he enjoyed the games we played. Hopefully many more will try U.L. and find they enjoy this game.
