I played this true gentleman today. 3/4ths of the way through the game he was way down. We both had gens, but I had two unopposed cols. The rest was even. I knew three of his bombs but only had 2 miners left. Rather than risk losing the miners and have him bombed up I decided to take a crack with a col. His set was fairly obvious at this point, the risk was low, and I had two cols to spare. I got his last maj on my first blind crack... to which he exclaimed "verdammte scheisser" and left Gravon. I figured it was an insult but wasn't sure. He came back a couple of mins later and rejoined. I immediately started striking blind with my last maj since he was an extra now. I killed a miner and a serg and this guy just left and never came back. My friend Leto came along shortly after and was kind enough to give me a translation. It wasn't nice. This guy is a real loser. |

You got the win right? So what's the point in posting about this? Just because YOU had a bad experience with him doesn't make him a "turkey". I don't think it's right that you're spoiling his rep. _________________ Der Kommandant! |

this post belongs in the News section. any player who makes a player wait 15 minutes & curses deserves to have his name run through the mud.
cleaned up for sunday brunch time

He is posting this to warn others. Who wants to play someone that is using bad language and then makes you wait 15 minutes to get the win? I certainly don't and I'm glad that Darth made the post to give us a heads up.

hello darth,
thx for posting this. napad is a registered user and be sure he is on the list. noone wants this kind of players. of course there is a time in the game when you could kill your computer, when someone beats blind and gets lucky a piece and the win. but its a part of stratego.
but mostly people dont realize that the game was over 50 moves ago. so the risky attack is not risky or lotto. and even if you beat blind from the first move - no rule against that.
but a we have a rule for unsporting behaviour
greetings
Stratego
by the way, someone mentions thats the word "pussy-list" is still allowed.
thanks for the advice from the beginning i wasnt happy with this and
maybe its time to change it. has someone a good idea? |

Make it the Unsportsmanlike-conduct list. That is the most politically correct way of stating their demeanor. |

actually I applaud the cleansing efforts. My 2 year old will one day play this game, and he may go back several years in the archives of posts and dig up the winter of 2005. Yikes.
Can I apply in advance of his 8th birthday for another registered nick on same pc? I will send in a fingerprint, 2 forms of id, and I will put my right hand on the bible.
Well on second thought, I'll just put another pc in the basement and make him dial up on free AOL for several months. Did you know you can get free aol, then whenever you cancel the acccount, they will beg you to stay aboard for another month?
If I do sign him up for his 8th birthday, I will quit playing this game the day he beats me. That would probably be the day after he learns how O-># |
