hello to all

Kleier rating system is one of the strangest systems ever exist.(this is no insulting )
Let's satrt on the begining!

1.One of first 5 games you must beat a player who has more then 1650 points and you must win all others.
2.Then you must play untill you have 20 games with bad ranked players (and winn).
3.Kleier will alow you to lose hm.......1 maybe 2 maybe 3 games. If you lose more then 3 games your rank will fall.
4.Play at least 50 games and winn about 45 of them and you will be well ranked.
5.If you beat a good player once and lose with him once your rating will be in your hand (this can happen in first 20 games)
6.When you play 100 games you can very hard improve your rating.
7.When you have more then 300 games and if you win a Game and then stop playing for a week you will get not 1 but 2 points.

And your appinion?

My biggest problem with the kleier system is that the top 25-30 ranked players are , for the most part, guys who don't play much. In my opinion, if everyone played close to an equal amount of games, then the gap between the #1 ranked player and the #50 ranked would be MUCH closer. This would take in account everyone not only playing close to the same amount of games, but also against players with similar rankings. In other words, you cant just play people ranked over 1500 all the time. In my opinion there are many very good players ranked in the 1300's, who could beat anyone at any time.

I agree with you Apollo. Also, once you play over the 100-300 games your rank with take forever to go up even 10 points--but if you lose--it seems to dip fast.

I usually guage an opponent based on the WSC scale. It appears to be more reflective of an opponent's current rating and skill.

Of course none of this applies to me since I play anyone and duck nobody. I do not hide afraid to lose high rank. My rank was 7th and is now about 30, so there is my proof. More players in the top 20 should be so active. Rankings would go up and down and it would be more fun for everyone here. Isn't that the purpose of playing?

hi all,

For me the Kleier ranking is a good ranking but strange as you say Max, because for won a point when you have more than 200 games you need to do 10 or more wins in a row and for lose a point you need only to do 4 loss in a row. It's the best problem with the Kleier ranking.

The biggest problem with the WSC rating is that if you won against a 1400 and you have more than 1800 points you win 2 points and if you lose, you lose 20 or more points.

If you see good, all the rankings have a problem.

Have fun for your games !

hello junior

hm...........
Yes, if you have 1000 games for a point you need about 5 wins to loose a point you need 1 loose. That's Kleier.

WSC;
-you always get a point
-if you loose hm...... about 20 points with 3-5 wins you get those 20 points back

Enjoy with Kleier Junior!
