Hi Stratego,
Nice list. I dont update all the numbers all the time. I think we have to go to 35 at least because I wonder if everyone will join, I didnt hear anything for instance from Hansie and the Grizzly's. When all lets say 35 join in we can make 3 poules one player more. But 32 would be the best of course. |

hi,
we should just mention, that from now on, the next players can only join, if others dont send the email or dont show up.
captmark is no: 32
also i think - beside usa - all utc times are wrong. we now have daylight time and this is one hour + for most countries.
germany has utc +2 (since last weekend)

on the problem of the hour i believe that a clock in the room 0 can help all matches be made based on this.the only need to be posted as the dates of the matches and players agree on the hours run. |

Hi,
I do not like to reject people now like Nochance and Rave. I spoke to them and they needed more time to figure if they can join the tournament. Rave would make the tournament more worldwide, Asian player would be very nice I believe and NC is just an excellent player, good for the tournament and competition with players like Gentleben, Ace and Fonias. I also think we shouldnt discriminate so I propose to let the entrance open for a little longer. I dont think there is a problem of playing with 5 players a group?
About the UTC. I think we are both right but we use another system. If you compare it with UK, Germany and Holland will always be +1 and I think its the most obvious and clear way because it dont depend on wintertime etcetera. I posted another topic to be clear about the UTC times.
Hellas point is also a good idea. Basically I think with a little communication between the players there should be no problems. |

hi,
i think this will be a start to yearly online tourneys.
so if someone miss the first, he can join the next.
maybe we organize 2-3 different ones. i think a kind of master, between the best 32 of the yearly ranking is good at the end of the year.
also we could think about a country tourney with 4 players from each country. of course a country can join with 2 or 3 teams.
points count then for the team in total.
maybe at the beginning of the year the masters ( qualification best 32 of last year)
in summer the country teams
at autum the open gravon championship.
what do you think?

All sounds good to me. I'd like to see a Masters event too, featuring only the top 16 players after a certain cut-off date some way into the year (perhaps specifying a minimum of 100 games played and if any of them didn't want to take part you go to the next highest on the list) That would be a good spectator event anyway. |

Hi Stratego,
I like your enthusiasm but its a little bit too much Im afraid. I think we should be happy with one maybe 2 on-line tournaments per year. Master sounds good but the good players has to have time to join.

I think if you take the top 16 with 100+ games played, they will have time. Anyone who has played 100 games is obviously on here a fair bit! |
