I'm really wondering why you've (again) simply closed an interesting discussion between us gravonians.

I mean, is there so bloody much going on here that the readers would get lost in yet another topic that gets off-topic?

Yeah, we have to stick to the rules, right?
So may I be so frank to ask you why you did not simply open up a new topic in the off-topic-category and move the postings in question into this one instead of just shutting everything down?

I agree........I was enjoying the topic.

It may have gone off topic.....but it was very interesting to see the difference in proposed history.....from 2 opposing sides.

I do have qualifications in the history of the first and second world wars and it has always been an interesting subject (for me).

Please continue the history post.

I might even contribute myself.

oge and i discussed the topic and we thought the discussion is over.
for sure this is no stratego topic, so we offer the off-topic board for
further discussions.

i thought everyone could easy copy the text if he wants to go on.
but its no prob to do it. i splitt the topic and remove the history part
