The X-FILES - NEW GRAVON RULE

hello all,

mabe some of you noticed, that we had some new green players.

because of the x-files we decided, that all players with 12 or more
entries get a green status (no ranking games) for the next month.

the rule is:
if a player has more than 12 entries in the last 12 months, he is banned
for 1 month from ranking games. if the players goes on with that, we
will bann him for much longer than 1 month.

because some players have 11 or 10 entries in the moment, we decide
the next entries as the cases arises.

so please hit the "surrender" button before you leave the game.

if there are any players, who make one move in the last 15 mins, please
call one of the admins or send a mail with following infos:
room nr. - date/time - name of players => we watch this very carefully

i think you should permanently delited all player nicks,who has not played more as 6 mounts from ranking list!
It is nonsens to see in ranking list some player who have not played so long and obviously do not play any more.

hello everyone

yes the players who didnt play last 6 months should be deleted.
But if they play 5 games in 1 month they can come back to ranking list!

hello,

we dont change the rules in the moment. there is no need for this.
people, who dont play for some time are not in the current ranking
for the year. maybe there is a little bug in the system, spion will
watch it. (we have no ranking info in the moment in the userlist)

Hi,

perhaps edfx only noticed his disconnection after being away for 15 minutes? The client does recognize a disconnection (a red square will light up or a green square will start flashing in the lower right corner of the window) but thats all it shows..

I'll try to display an alert window in the future

Lets stop reading to much into it.. The site freezes up quite often sometimes.. and witha slow connection it can be a few minutes easy !

the site runs fine, but after a "bws" its an automatic discon.
also it showed that you left your place and then a "bws" (bad word saying)

so its not the slow connection, just dont use "these" words.

if you just have a technical discon, you have 15 mins to come back.
but this dont happend - the x-files show a total of 8 times for your nick.

Thats fine Straego.. though tell me..where is the bad word I said ? Art showed you the entire conversation... other than playful jousting with him.. .. there was nothing "bad" ? or Am i missing something ??..

Many times the game freezes... on rare occasion my net goes down as I am sure the case with many...

You mention me have this 8 times... with over 1400 games played you could hardly say thats frequent...

I recently lossed a Tourney game with Miltos because it went down...

I simply never left a game intentional, never dcd intentionally nor even stalled. Its that simple.

If I am missining something or you have info to the contrary , then please enlighten me with it. Thank you.

hi edfx,

i think you miss a lot - and for sure you said the word.
that it was not copied is normal, because you get the discon before it is
shown in the chat. all the other see is the "bws" statement. so dont try
to tell us, you didnt say it.

Hi,

it's time to close this discussion.

edfx was disconnected by the server because of using a bad word, most certainly not with the intention to insult his opponent.
However, he may not have recognized this disconnection at all since such a disconnect can look like nothing happens on Gravon. He does not even get a hint in his chat, it just does not show anything new.
I'll change that in the future.

For now, simply let us forget this case.
edfx is not the person who intentionally leaves games. He has played over 1800 rated games and only 8 of them have not been finished. I guess all most of them have been connection issues.

This original post belonged under the "acting rudely when losing" section.
Sorry to post it in the wrong place. I believe that fedx merely did say the f word when his colonel hit a bomb when he was trying to madly recover after being spanked. So he did get disco'd and it was only 2 minutes till he came back. I believe he owns me as far as wins, but respect nonetheless any gravon player deserves. All in good fun, I presume Ed.
