Knockout Stage: Tri-Stratego Tournament 2005

The first round has been played. Congratulations for those who made it through. For the others well... better luck next time!!

So now it's time for the Knockout Stage.

Since some matches were not played, the judges sat down to find a solution. It was hard to call, but we fought our way through it.

maribo, andi, sinus and meiko were disqualified for showing no interest to play the matches. And unfortunately WSC_Junior had to forfeit due to personal reasons. The other players get a 6-0 win for the matches not played.
This also created an empty spot for the runner up in group E. We decided to fill this spot by the best 3rd ending player, which is Wellington. Toe and Esquire also have 4 points, but Wellington has higher matchpoints, so he goes through.


Here is the knockout table. For the first round, you get about 2 weeks to play the match, since some people are still on holiday. So the match should be played before 14/8 midnight. If there are problems with finding a date to play, let us know as soon as possible, so we can try to find a solution. The next rounds should go faster.

REMEMBER: a draw results in replaying the WHOLE match.
a second draw will cause the player with the highest matchpoints so far, go through to the next round.

well done the group stage is behind!
Its time for knockout stage!

But in 1 thing I disagree!
That's who made it in knockout stage!
It seems to be very unfair that andi sinus and meiko has been discqualified and wellington made it in knockout stage!
Rules are rules on the begining of tournament you two wrote rules!
Rules are rules!

Just want to say that I'm not very happy with end of group stage!
I hope that knockout stage will be regular!

Sorry you did not like our tough decision!

Unfortunatley we had to decide who went through in group A and E.

In group E no player other than leto had tried to play a tourney game!

So we had to disqualify all 3!

This left a space for the game Vs you.
We decided to fill the space with the highest 3rd place in the other groups!

We thought it the best!

Please dont blame us!

We were put in this position by the 3 players in group E who did not make any attampt to play.

Hi,

Baffi has been unavailable (for personal reasons) and that is why we had the delay!

But the 5 players still left in the tournament i will track down and push for dates for the last 4 games!

The matches still to be played are:
1 DelBoy v MasterShihan
2 leto v dcAnnies
3 generalMax v (DelBoy or MasterShihan)
4 and of course the final!

I will see these guys asap and will be putting time limits on games within the next day or 2.
At the moment.......i am looking to complete the games within the next 7 to 10 days. But hopefully sooner.
I will have a completion date for the tournament hopefully by tomorrow, after i spoke to the players involved.
