New Stratego club formed!

Hi everyone

I hope you will grant a warm welcome to the 3 Lions Stratego club.

We have been playing together in England for only a couple of months now.
But we are looking for official club status.
We have 7 members and play in the North of England!

As a new stratego club, we are very inexperianced and have only a small membership currently.

But we are looking to build a strong base for stratego in the North of England.

We are getting encouragement by the newly formed "British Stratego A$sociation" and our members will hopefully get chance to play against fellow Stratego players in the forthcoming M.S.O. Stratego Tournament in Manchester.

Our membership can not boast of being a strong club in terms of ability, although it can only get better.

We start as the most inexperianced club!
But we are willing to learn!

At the moment i am rushed off my feet with various tasks i need to perform, but hopefully i will be contacting various clubs a.s.a.p. with details and a link to our website.

Which is another task for me!!!!
Setting up a club website!

At the moment only 2 of us actually play here on gravon, on a regular basis, we have had 2 others who have tried it here but they are not registered. The other 3 guys have yet to try the online stratego!

I hope you will grant our club a warm welcome at the forthcoming MSO Tournement.

This will be the first competitive tournament for all of our members.(including me)
And it will be good experiance for us to play more experianced top quality players.

We hope to see some of you there!

I heard the rumours and now its happening.

Great news, a club in the UK.
I played the MSO a few times myself and it was a superb experience.
Sadly I can not be there but I im sure the 3 Lions will have a nice time over there.

Thanks Ogetarts, Wussy and Skywalker.

It is a shame you cant make it luc,

it would have been nice meeting you in person.
Wussy was a great help to me when i first thought of setting up the 3 Lions Stratego club.
Your enthusiasum and encouragement helped me along the way.

(In fact if it wasn't for luc telling me about gravon, i might never have tried it here. He encouraged me to try gravon and helped me get started here.)

Thanks again and hopefully we will meet some day, and i can thank you in person.

I have been drawing up a few plans to promote the club and from the people i have spoken to, who live locally, we are gaining a bit of interest.

I am hopeing to have a few demonstration evenings to promote the game. Stratego is relatively unknown here, so it would be a good way to get people involved in the game.

Hopefully we can bolster the membership of the club even further and create a real strong base for Stratego in our local area.
