Hi all
Here is a tip when finding your opponent marshall. If you find your opponent's marshall to be on your right flank and you realize on your left flank that colonel you found was protected by his spy take your marsh up. I have seen players take up there gen and hope to get that colonel only to trade gens. That was a lost attempt for that colonel. And you probaly wont get it either. Next time you find yourself in that situaton when finding a marsh take your marsh up to that colonel. Your opponent will sit there waiting to trade gens but bam its your marsh and you took out his gen. Then take his colonel. You will lose your marshall but it is worth the risk, because you know his marsh. A Big advantage for you. You just made your opponent look stupid and probaly embarrassed.

As one of my finest students, I expect more from you 2pac. The first part is good but you need a backup plan if he should not attack with his general. You also must be careful in your approach not to expose your marshall too soon. Secondly, if you are successful in acquiring his general, there isn't any sense in blowing out your marshall afterward. If you do this, you now gave him the most powerful piece and put yourself on the defensive as well. Take the general with pride, boast to everyone and anyone who is present, then retrieve your marshall or bring in your general. Trap his colonel between your marshall and general and the game is over. The most important thing you can do now is to protect your general. If you cannot trap his colonel, merely trade marshalls and begin a glorious and enjoyable mulching process. Don't forget to torment your opponent or you will be short changing yourself of the potential joy of victory. Offer your opponent tips and if you have a fan club like I do, by all means now is a good time to sell enrollment to your unfortunate victim. A simple yet joyous statement after the game is advisable. I prefer, "blowout" or "a$$ whipping fun" or perhaps, "damn, that felt good". After all, you owe your opponent this much recognition for supplying you with such profound joy.
