Well, in an effort to raise the tone of this forum which has become noticeably unfriendly in the past 6 months, I have a topic to discuss....
I have always been a "streaky" player - that is, I go on win streaks when I play well for a while, then I go on losing streaks when I play very poorly for a while. I have discussed this with other players and some have noticed similar tendencies in themselves.
My question is: Does anyone have any insight as to why this occurs? If I knew why it happens then perhaps I could try to avoid it, and become more consistent like the top players here. |

My thoughts:
It seems you are led by emotions too much. When you have lost one, you want to win the next one and start playing it at a moment you are not ready yet. Sometimes it is better to have a break to give your brain a little rest and come back the next day fully concentrated.
Also there seems to be periods where you take losses and learn and new ones where you should apply this new knowlegde and win. |
