First:
There are good and bad things about every rating system, so i'm not posting this to "bad-mouth" the Kleier system. Just don't get following situation:
A player called duc is ranked above me with 1663 (2004) 1655 (overall) points. But this guy never won a game against someone with more points then 1547 AND lost all his games against players with more then 1547 points.
I think its really strange that someone who has never won a game against someone with more then 1547 points gets a more then 100 points higher ranking after 20 games, without ever beating a guy with a higher rank.
Ok, he won a lot of games, but the most against very low ranked players
I read the explaination of the Kleier system twice, some things i understand some things i don't. The thing i do understand that its about probibility change. But i think the above is a strange probililty
Note: I don't have any problems with duc, i'm sure he is a nice guy. Just don't get the situation _________________ Aeolus |
