Jens - why not call it the 'Rising Stars' competition? I think we'd all agree that whoever wins it is certainly on the path to becoming a good player! |

Ruben made a good suggestion of having 4 teams; USA vs. Germany vs. Holland vs. France/Belgium etc |

Actually I think it was Zach's idea. But I support it.
However reading your recent post I have to say that the clashes cant be played without a clock in my opinion. Most topplayers will support me with this argument. So you have to give that up during the challenge. |

Ok, so far, we have confirmation from;
USA - Zach, Sadi, Tableplay
Euro - ruben, flieger
If any of you top euros want to attempt to stop the USA from gaining the upper hand for recognition, you better step up now! |

Well we need 4 players on each side for each tier.
This is who we have so far;
Top Ranking - Euro team - fonias, ruben, wellington
USA team - Zach, Sadi, tableplay
Mid ranking - Euro team - UK Devilz, jen
USA team -
We need more players, then we can set a weekend to battle it out. |

Why not just go 3 on 3 instead of 4 on 4? |

I thought Flieger joined the Euroteam? Then we are complete arent we? If not maybe Razoa can join our team.
For Mid-rank I put my bets on Jensneuij, Cooky, Blacksheep HardrainLenny and Snelloc to join/compete with UK Devilz and there are many others of course . |

I get fonias and Flieger confused but my fear with Flieger is, all his games will be draws. I don't know who can stand to play the guy when, as soon as he goes down a piece, he chases runs etc. for a draw.
I would like to see the best euros playing, which of course, means Sohal (Razoa). Otherwise, if USA wins, it won't mean as much. |

Hmm, Flieger went behind against me the other day and turned to lotto rather than going for a draw - annoyingly it worked as well. I mean who the hell looks at a bunch of pieces that haven't moved and for all the world look like the classic 3 bombs around the flag formation, and thinks "yes, I'll use my best piece to attack this cluster" - if you're going to lotto at least be intelligent about it. But of course he was lucky as it wasn't 3 bombs at all, and he got a couple of pieces.
It's worse to lose a lotto game against someone ranked ahead of you when you know you should have won than to lose a lotto game to a low ranked player, because the record books just show the result and everyone will assume you got beat fair and square by a higher ranked player.
Anyway just wanted to get that rant out, now back to the tournament. |

my rank dropped 40 points thanks to fighter our second marathon the first dropped it 100+ points... fighter is my kryptonite
Also:
If you get lottoed and lose it is typically youre own fault unless its an open flag you can not get back to defend in time to take a piece you needed to take to get the lead big enough to win the game, than it is just dumb luck. What you describe Sammy just shows why you have not improved at all in this game in years and are still afraid to play real opponents |

Try reading my post again Zachary - I never mentioned that he found my flag. Lotto can also take place against moveable pieces that are yet to move. Of course you already know that, being the expert at it.
Also try actually researching my ranking history "over the years" before making dumbass comments. You'll see a steady improvement over the last 3 years. Tosser. |

This is a fine example of the glorious animosity that should precede every worthy tournament. Keep it going, Zacharias and Samuel. God provided us with two hands, not for making peace signs and gathering but rather, for engaging in humiliating fisticuffs. |
