question about ranked games

One of my games showed up in the "battle results" shaded, and one was not. Yet when I played both games, ranking, was checked off. Why is this? If the game is shaded in the results area, doesnt that mean its not ranked?

Are unranked players able to play a game that is checked ranking? That would not be good.

games on dark blue (shaded) are unranked, games on light blue are ranked. If the game was played ranked, the ranking option must have been on.

UnRANKED players can play ranked games, of course, how else should they ever get a ranking?

UnREGISTERED players are not able to play ranked games.

So then, I played an unranked player in a ranked game. It was the game I had with borus, we played to a draw, but it didnt show up in my record and it was listed shaded. I was wondering because the game didnt show up in my record, no big deal.
