Im playing Oja, and he is moving a piece about once every 5 minutes. Its impossible to play this way but if I leave the game I'll end up losing and getting an x-file for my troubles. There's no admin on to ask for help....what can players do when someone behaves like this please? Can we leave and report the game so it can be wiped from the records once the pattern of moves has been looked at for confirmation? |

I finally got him to play but it begs the question for what to do if this happens again and they simply refuse to move more often. I know, set a timer...but if you forget surely this is not sporting play? |

hi,
i think the story has been clarified.
samuel didnt ask for a regame and just hit the button for a new game.
oja was afraid to leave the game when leaving (but of course he can -
the game is active after both players made a first move)
he had to do other things and had no time to play.
generell:
please ask first for a rematch and if the player doesnt want to play
again, accept the answer.
also possible:
if the opponent goes on, you can write the story in chat so the facts are clear for admins
- then send chat to admin and leave the game. we will delete the game, if it was a ranked one.
BUT if you use this for leaving a game, just because the opponent is thinking
a little longer, its a violation of our rules. the opponent must do this for several moves
with a lot of time. (spion can check the game with time each move)
greets

Ok thanks. I know SPion has spoken to Oja too as he emailed me. But I probably won't be playing him again now.
I did tell Oja if he didnt want to continue he could leave without setting up his pieces but he didn't believe me. I also asked him for a re but he didnt reply so I just re-started it as he also did not leave the table. Maybe I was a bit quick but like most people here, I like to get on with it! |

The start next round feature has caused confusion since Malfeiz players playing Stratego started using it on Stratego games. After that it caught on and more Stratego players started using it and causing confusion. Back 5+ years ago nobody used start next round while playing stratego. It was always reset then play. Start next round in stratego is like pushing a rematch in a player's face who may be done playing, at least that's how it can be viewed by some people |

Hey Bob,
Its very annoying sometimes indeed when players use the button without asking.
But there should be no problem. If you dont want to play you may just leave the game/room. You wont lose a game that way. |
