Hi
I look forward to seeing a few Gravon players at this years Mind Sports Olympics.
Hopefully some of you will come to 'Sunny' England to compete in this weekends tournaments.
The Barrage World Championship & The Stratego Olympiad should be good tournaments.
For details see the Gravon main page or visit http://www.stratego.org.uk/
Regards,

A Quick results snippet about the games played at the weekend.
Barrage
Roel Eftling won the Barrage World Championship for the second year running.
Classic
Unfortunately the turnout was not as high as previous years and everyone knew the games would not count towards the World Rankings.
Having said this.......it did not stop Roel Eftling winning the Stratego Olympiad for the 2nd year in a row.
Team Tournament Classic
The story was somewhat different in the World Team Tournament. It was a straight battle between Great Britain and the Netherlands.
After a good team talk by the British team captain and British #1.......the Great Britain team stunned the Dutch by beating them in the World Team Tournament (3 player event).
A disappointing day for the British in the individual events was made a little better by a good team performance in the Team event.
Great Britain = World Team Champions 2007 (3 player event)
British Team (online nicks) =
#1 Capt : AceRimmer
#2 : Bobby642 (meta)
#3 : UK_Dagonet
Congratulations to both Roel and the British team.
The full results including pictures of the tournament will be posted on the B.S.A. website in the coming days. |
