NEW: FOSP Summer Challenge

The FOSP Summer Challenge tournament will begin May15. This tournament will have a different format than the FOSP Classic tournament. Each game will be played with the Bronstein: 70 game/15 player/5 move and the rated game options applied. There will be a winners bracket(best of 3 game series/played at the same meeting) and a losers bracket(1 game). The finals will be a best of 3 game series between the 1 player remaining in the winners bracket and 1 player remaining in the losers bracket. If you lose your game in the losers bracket you are done in the tournament. Weekly pairings will be posted on wendsdays and everyone must e-mail their time availability for that week to their opponent within 24 hours(and a CC must be mailed to me). The first weeks game opponent will be decided by a random draw, then each weeks pairing will be determined by a chart I have. I dont get it totally.

A few questions: Is there a standard play day like the last tourney? When players cant make an apointment is there a standard day? And which day? Which time?

Is it a play off system or a poule system?

How many matches do we need to play in first round and how long will the first round take? (estimation)
