OGETARTS is correct, enough is enough. Let's just play and have some competitive fun. Enough said. I wish Ace had given more notice but we have a replacement. I should not have lowered myself to calling Ace childish but I had just returned from the casino, very intoxicated, and mad about another player pulling from tournament at the last minute. Thank you again Art for not only rejoining but for recruiting EDFX. As a reward I will tell you where 1 of my bombs are when we play..........in the back row
Oh, and that palehorsemn joke was an inside joke that only Zonies will understand.....again, another comment made because of intoxication.
Let the games begin!!!!!

Why is it no time limit ? Games must be limited.. or a player who has fallen behind can, with in the rules take 15 min /move.. for us who actually work for a living..scheduling a game over say a 1 hour lunch period could be a disaster.. going 6-7-8 hours! While most in the league dont play these games, we all know it can and will happen if there is no timer.

All games, from football to chess have a limited time... why not do it here as well ?

I ask all players to e-mail me with any problems, this includes what they consider excessive time delays(which I consider unsportmanship) please let me know what the circumstances were and the time delay. In past tourneys I have awarded loses to unsportsman like players and kicked them out of tourneys. For example: a 5 minute delay at any point during a game is excessive.(unless a player has asked for a short delay due to wife problems, kid problems, cigarrette break, etc.. Then, it must be agreed to by both players. The only exception is a true emergency like.......MY HOUSE IS ON FIRE!!!! In this case, I will need to see pictures seriously, I would hope that no one would intentionally take excessive time)

Well Hal,

Then you are just asking for trouble.. and getting into a he said she said situation. if you set the bronstenin to 30 min per side or whatever..its simple clear and fair for both sides..

The way you have it now... the game can go on, within the rules, forever. The current timing is 15 min without a move... if no timer. So imposing no time limit on the game, thats what you set it up for. Asking a player to email you after with a description, subjective and all and you to play referree from a distance without seeing anything is simply problematic at best and purely unrelvable in any fair way typically.

I strongly suggest to impose the bronstein, like in all major stratego tourneys. If someones kids go astray, they lose... that simple.. its not up to the opponent to deal with that.

I need to budget a time for a game and I am sure many other do also... it cant just be.. unlimted ?! which is what you have now..
