I just thought I would take a moment and say a few things from a newcomers perspective to Gravon.
I have thoroughly enjoyed playing here the last 3-4 months and it has stretched my game considerably. I think the site is excellent and commend its creators for their hard work. I am sure bearing with some of us is a job in itself.
For the most part, the players I have played have been friendly and sportsmanlike and I hope that continues. A few of you need to grow up (not mentioning any names), but that is to be expected. After all it is only a game and if a person gets their sense of worth from beating others or from rankings, they are in for serious disappointment someday.
Thanks to all and I look forward to many more enjoyable games.
Ya'll have fun now. Ben |

Thank you, Ben and I accept your request and participation in my fan club. There isn't any reason to conceal what you are trying to say and I was able to "read between the lines". You have obviously become aware of my legendary status and heroic accomplishments. They are all true! I agree with you that some things in life are more important than a game; for instance, finding a worthwhile hero. I am here for you, Ben! Fear not and venture into the gravonian world of stratego. |

Believe it or not Sadi, you were not one of the ones I had in mind when I said some needed to grow up. I consider you an intelligent calculating premeditated individual who knows exactly what you are doing which shows you have some maturity. I just think you aren't wise. Pride cometh before a fall.
In some ways I also find you amusing. For example, looking at you as a hero, I fing that extremely amusing.
See you on the battlefield. |

Sorry about the typo. That would be, "find that extremely amusing." |

hi Ben,
I've enjoyed playing you these last couple of days. You are quite a dashing fellow. Your mannerisms are that of a another "fan favorite" and that's Ogetarts. It's a pleasant sight to see another gentlemen on gravon, hence the word "gentleben". |

If he is a gentleman, it is probably because I am his role model and god bless him. Although I am noted most of all for my humble demeanor, it is time to forget all of that and tell it like it is. I realize that I have been proclaimed by many here to be the best of sportsman, a man who does not allow the emotions of the game distort his predication of good will to others. I would like to thank all of you for choosing me as your bastion of behavioral perfection and I accept the fame and responsibilities that come with your respect.
I AM HERE FOR YOU, MY BELOVED FANS! |

Thanks to specter and bob for the comments. I have enjoyed games with both of you and to be compared with oge is a compliment.
Also thanks to lightwing for pointing out the edit function, now if I could only figure out how to use it, it would be better.
And if anyone is interested, my nick is not so much a play on words for "gentleman" though that is good. It is actually a name I picked up in high school my friends gave me because I was quiet and "gentleben" was the name of the grizzly bear on a popular tv show at the time. So I didn't mind being named after a large aggressive carnivore. And that is how my play is, aggressive. So it is actually oximoronic. Not moronic, which would describe anyone who idolizes Sadistic.
Thanks again guys, Ben. |

Don't be so hard on yourself, Ben. I am the best choice that a man can have for a hero. |
