Too often I have seen players like myself, general Max and others being banned for writing inappropriate things. Never have I seen a player banned for foul game behavior. About a week ago, eindhoven was in a game against me in which we were down to our last few pieces and nothing could be done. There wasn't any alternative but to draw, yet he refuses to draw and instead ran around in circles for about 30 minutes or more. This is the kind of thing that should lead to suspension and banning, much more so than a few distasteful words. I would much rather somebody write foul things to me than waste my time by doing what eindhoven did. Some players stall turns or run off the site when losing. Do they ever get suspended?

I have told administrators about the problems at the time that they were happening but they never suspended the players who were behaving like children.

I am a new addition to the Admin team so I can't speak for what happened in the past. Regarding eindhoven..... I think there are many factors for us to consider.

1.) Was viewing on? If yes, did anyone else see the game?

2.) What was eindhoven's reason for running in circles? We would need to hear his side of the story.

3.) What made the game a draw? What was the exact situation as you recall it?

4.) How many times did you offer a draw and he refused?

5.) Has he done this before against you?

Thanks,

OGE

I recognise this situation of a game I had with Sadistic a few months ago. He kept rotating pieces also for a half our or something I think. While I kept offering a draw.

He said he did it to punish me after the game.

More details are in the topic: ''Rotating Pieces''

only this responding about me

1. no
2. he was running circles i wanted his marshal
3. after he asked 2 times a draw i sad no, and he was walking around i asked for a draw
4. he did 2 times (so what.........if he did it 100 times)
5. no

but again believe the beloved ones here.........and i'm the bad guy again
while nobody can give a good reason for that........

but i think when someone is asking for a banning........must look at himself
first.

hello,

just for information:
yes we bann people for going out of the games or playing unfair.
also for having 2 or more reg nicks.
but no need to post a list here. we talk to them and solve the problems
in background.
you can find "runaways" in the x-files. if players are in the list
for more than 6 times / 3 months and we dont see any postings
or "sorry" here in forum, we also bann them for 1 month.
it just takes a sec to hit the surrender button, but this is an old story.

hmm, yes we can - and no i cannot.

only if both players ask for a decision and both send an email to spion,
spion can check the game or send it to an other admin. without these mails
no game is watched from a third party.

@ ricardo

yes you did. but the list is very very old. i found one from 2004.
but you can check the list at the button. all informations about the games
are in the list.

but the x-files show, that this is not a prob in generell.

only 6 game for okt and 11 games so far for nov.
only one player with more than 1 out in last two months, but "chief" will
be watched.

You can say many things about me if you wish but nobody can accurately call me a liar. First of all, I never let ruben wait 30 minutes while circling. Secondly, the situation with eindhoven was such that he had 2 moving pieces (major, sergeant) both of which were identified. I had a captain which his major could not trap. My flag was bombed in. Therefore there was no way for him to win and I was not going to risk hitting a bomb and handing him the game, looking for his flag. He did not try to hit my flag. He just ran and ran only to waste my time. He has been talking smack about me on the forum prior to this game, so it was obviously a personal issue. It went on for a very long time, well over 30 minutes and was a display of very poor sportsmanship, deserving of a suspension. He also made many rude statements about 9/11, saying things like, "I am glad all your people died in 9/11". I personally don't care about what anybody says to me and I am not sensitive about such things. However, I have always said that banning should take place for foul game conduct of which he is certainly guilty. I offered 3 draws and he denied all of them.
