|

Hi.
I think a lot of the other games besides Stratego look interesting enough to play, however I can't play anything else because all of the rules/etc. are in German (even when I've chosen English).
Is it because they simply aren't up yet, or is it an error?
Thanks,
Sincerely,
Christine |

Hi Christine.
Spion could answer this more definitively than me, but I suspect that the lack of English rules for some of the games has to do with the level of interest/demand for those games by English speakers. Some of the games have no rules or descriptions at all, only a statement in German that the page is still under development.
The best way to learn a new game is to ask one of the German members of Gravon to teach you. Silver is always a good person to ask about a number of the games on the site. You will find that most of the Germans here at gravon speak good English, so communication is not a problem.
If you're interested, I can teach you how to play Malefiz (which is fun, although it takes a while to play) and Muehle. Just say "hey" if you see me on-line.

As our webpage is in a process of minor redesign, we want to integrate more of the games' rules than you can find now - also in english. In doubt I would translate the german rules on my own, though my english must be horrible...
(Nevertheless there are good websites in english where you can find translations of german board game rules. - I will also rely on them when building the pages.)
Greetings,
