I just finish a game with Rapunzel.
The game lasted approx. 20 minutes and I moved all of my pieces on the board. I made like 300 moves totally and run the hall board a couple times up and down - left and right.
Nothing strange you will say.....! Right !
Now imagine an opponent that all that time, he moves ONE damn piece (a lieutenant) a few squares left and right !!!!
I have played many games and I have encountered many opponents here at Gravon, I have seen many different strategies and types of setups, but the worst of all is the Chicken Cower Spineless play! You just thing you play with a robot or better you move alone by your self. There is nothing more annoying that you find yourself a player like that. It’s a shame for some good players (until now), turn to play one move game because they are scared of their opponents or some lousy rank position!
Moderators, please consider of adding a rule of preventing players “shooting” a game like that. No one should allow starting and finishing a game by moving one and only lousy piece!
That’s no Stratego game!

Brass,

After 30 seconds of that nonsense you should have just tried to trap it and stop the shananigans. Then he would have to move other pieces.

You don't know what Brass had, if he had only 1 luit aswell, he can't do anything, except carouselling, i like that to players who use that lame tack, for me, it works 9/10

You guys didn't undestand what i wrote above....
That kind of playing started from his first move and he didn't move a damn pieece for the hall rest game, i say!
I understad to "stall"a little when someone is in a tough situation, but starting and finishing a game of 300 moves having moved 1 lousy lieut. left and right.....thats outrageous !!!!!
Also it happened that I had blocked that side by bombs and could not get access to that area. I had to attack from middle and the other side.
All the time I was attacking, the lieut. was marching left and right! It kept like that untill the game ended 20 min. later.
If i had a gun, I would shoot that damn lieut. through the damn computer screen !@#!&$?!%!

I know its frustrating Brass, but it it legal. Just attack or it is a remise I think. (if both players dont want to attack)

He is indeed a very good player. Weird tactic. I think he was afraid of losing or something.

to brass:
hmm, maybe i dont understand the game so far - why do you dont play YOUR game - if he dont attacks - fine, kill him. and how could he win if he moves only a leut?
if you dont like to attack too, just trade the pieces he moves and use wussys hint to bring up pieces in front of his pieces.
in addition never bomb one side completely - its always a bad setup.

to skywalker:
why is rapunzel a bad sportsman? because he plays a style other dont like? its bad sportmanship to call players so, who just play by rules. in board tourneys this will cause a yellow card.

i agree with you brass, but he did it once (normaly he don.t play that way)
but you instead are also a defending player........always let the openent come to take risks and you just wait until you have more better pieces in the game and than you will attack.........so again don.t complain just play

Good point eind -- But Brass is not really that much defensive

But vs a defensive player that strategy could work so that they must take risks as well -- maybe work good against NOES.

to stratego:
i think it's stupid. i don't need to play stratego when i only want to move one piece in a game. am i wrong with that opinion?
why do i get a yellow card for my opinion? this "style" has nothing to do with stratego and is embarrassing for a good player.

to skywalker:

you dont get a yellow card for your opinion.
if you call an arbiter at board game and say he is bad sportsman, but the player
plays by the rules the arbiter will punish you with a yellow card.

every playing style - following the rules - is ok and you cannot claim it.
its a different story if you or others like it.

same situation:
you stay in front of the flag and the player doesnt move anymore,
because his personal time at clock is 4 mins and the main game
time is 3 mins - this ends in a draw. some find this strange, but its
by the rules and you cannot claim it.

all i postet was, that you cannot bring "bad sportsmanship" in the context
with a legal playing style.
