Time to start preparing for the NFL draft.
This is the time of the year when I go into sports hibernation.
NCAA is over,
Baseball (yawn) is here, or should I say Congressional Hearings sport is in session. hee-hee.
Training camp is 3 months away, nba playoffs are coming (just watch the last 2 minutes of the 4th quarter, which will take 1/2 hour)
Then wait on the NFL. |

Jerry,
With Herm Edwards as Coach and King Carl as GM the Chiefs have no chance.
Draft is across the street at Radio City Music Hall this year vs the Javits Center last year. NFL has not yet announced ticket availablity for general admission. After attending last 2 drafts, I think I will catch it on ESPN this year.
Update - Got the 2006 NFL Draft Tickets today!

Tell me more Commish,
Was the Draft good for who?
I would right of Edwards stint at Jets, his Chiefs history may just be the spark to follow much in the path of Vermeil.

Were you asking how the NFL Draft was?
two years ago it was held at the Forum at Madison Square Garden. This was a fun day I saw Eli Manning put the Giants Cap on just before he was introduced, we heckled Kellin Winslow, Sat next to the guy from the Dawg Pound overall fun for about 3 hours, With 15 minutes per pick, no smoking or drinking we left after Dallas traded its 1st round pick to Buffalo (Hello J.P. Losman!) and went to a bar to watch the rest.
last year the draft was held at The Jacob Javits Center where it was split into 2 rooms, The Draft Room & The Fan Experience, unfortunately we had tickets only to the fan experience but were able to sneak into the main draft room close to the ESPN set. I talked with Reggie Wayne's Mom (did not mention that the Colts stink) and after a few hours went to a bar to catch the rest and remember saying "Who the hell is Logan Mankins" - Guard Pats #32 1st round) - Another fun day
This year at Radio City should be cool. the fans will probably be in the balcony and a good atmosphere for heckling - not sure if I have tickets yet, if not going to a bar with a few friends looks like the gameplan.
