In Defense of the Alias

First of all, this is major_force posting this under my brother's name because I had never joined the forum until today, but it says that I'm still not allowed to post yet. Anyway, I have been a player here at Gravon almost since it's inception a few years back and have never responded to anything in the forum until now. I want to state for the record that Apollo really is my brother and neither of us ever tried to deceive anyone here. I was annoyed a few weeks back , when I entered the game room to play and found my name to be colored green and couldn't play a ranked game. When I asked silver why my name was green, she responded by saying that I was cheating by having more than one registered nickname under my IP address. My situation has been taken care of after sending spion an email, but I think situations should be looked into before automatically suspending users in the future. I have a son , who unbeknowing to me, played some at gravon also. He spends 99% of his time playing Dark Ages of Camelot, but also played here under the name Monarch. Everyone who was a member of the old WSC may remember him as Crimson Colonel, he is 17 now and a pretty good player. His account here has been susupended, which is fine with both of us, because I want no one to feel there's any deception there either. Anyway, I just wanted to let everyone know the truth and I wish all well including Sadistic, who I have no problem with. Sadistic, I hope we can play soon, my brother's qualm with you doesn't concern me at all. Thanks alot.

lol TP! I can't believe anyone recognized that name. I saw that B grade flick about 4 years ago and don't even remember the title, but the Bishop was unforgettable -- a video game that - you in... much like Stratego. I started using BishopofBattle as an alias that day.

I think its time to go to retinal scanning or thumbprint identification in order to match a player at the keyboard to a database to ensure his identity.
(Of course what's to keep a government agency from gaining access to this info and then swarming your house with a warrant for your arrest for all those traffic tickets you've never paid for)
