tourney USA - europe

i know the word "meta" is not so welcome here in the forum. but this time it's in a nice context.
at the moment a tourney is taking place at meta. 12 players from europe play 1 classic and 1 UL game against 12 players from the US.
there are a lot of players from gravon involved.
acerimmer, lightwing, glücksritter, bounty and me for team europe
and keyser_soze and cerealkilla for team USA

at the moment we are in the classic round and the standing is 4-3 for europe.
i think the most interesting pairing will be acerimmer - keyser_soze although i think this should be a clear win for europe

i don't know most of the meta players but overall it should be a close win for europe. next week the UL round will start with different pairings. i'm looking forward to this.

in the course of this story i would like to add a feature request for our beloved gravon. overall i like gravon much more than meta but there are a few features i would like to see here at gravon.
for example a slightly different new stratego version. it's called stone-paper-scissors. dear spion, would it be a hugh among of work to add this nice little game?
it's played with 1 flag (of course), 3 bombs (bombs can move and attack), 3 miners (normal miner like in classic) and 3 sergants (also normal abilities)
this would be really awesome if this could be added to our site.

Hi luke.... good to see you again. It sounds like a fun tourney, although the Americans will probably get beat fairly easy in UL. We talked about having a tournament here on several occassions, but never could get it organized. I know Darth, Esquire and myself were in favor of having one. Good luck in your matches.

Just to clarify things.......the current score in 5-3 to Europe......and there are 12 players from Europe, playing against 12 players from the Americas. 2 rounds....first is classic .....1 game. The 2nd round is a specialist round........6 players on each side play barrage.......4 players on each side play U.L. and 2 players play classic(no range). Skywalker mistakenly must have thought everyone plays UL in the 2nd round

. Sorry for the confusion luke...... only a select few players on each team will play UL. As a solid classic player and a good U.L. player......you were one of my team selections for Europe in the UL round.

As European team captain........I gathered together some of the best classic, barrage and UL players to play for Europe. A combination of some of the best players from both Gravon and Meta. We have 5 players from the Netherlands, 2 from the UK, 2 from Germany, 2 from Spain and 1 from France. A real mixture of some of the best players from Europe. Should be a good fight, but expect a European victory.

oh... ok, there are also barrage and classic games in round2...

after my glorious win against rupe i feel confident to win my ul game. doesn't matter who the opponent is.

it looks very good for europe in the second round.
2-0 in barrage and 1-0 in UL at the moment.
and our best players didn't even play there matches yet...

indeed it was a cruel defeat for team usa. unfortunately not all game were played. i hoped i could see the UL game between ace and keyser.

Yes, it would have been nice to play all the games......but when the victory was so convincing and with our best players still yet to play.....it would have meant even MORE torment for the Americas team.
