reseting an unfinished game

Dear stratego friends,
I am posting the same issue fot the 2nd time because for some unknown reason my first posting didn show up.
I was playing a normal game ans it suddenly froze.(This happens very often in the last month perhaps Windows'98 is the reason).I had to reboot and come back which i did in the next 5 minutes.My opponent had disapeared and the game wasn't there anymore.Some else had joined the gameroom i was playing when frooze.I ask myself why it is allowed for the opponent to reset a running game?This happened to me at least 2 times within the last week and both games were in my favour which i didn get.
