I would like to propose that the system not crash so much.
Can we vote on this?
Since I win 25% of my games, I need to savor those few victories that I get and I was winning today.

WA!!!!!!!

Hello,

in fact there ARE ways to keep a server from crashing, e.g. by having a virtual machine distributed over several physical machines, by having a backup system with heartbeat which will immediatly switch between the machines if one should fail and so on.

The problem is that such solutions are all but cheap. I can't afford the software or hardware necassary for that.

Gravon is very very stable, the server is available at nearly 100% of the time. Most problems are network related, either at the provider where the server is located or at other points within the internet.

Last year, the server went away two or three times because of hardware failures. That was bad. The server is located at about 150km distance from my home so repairing it is a little bit tricky.

Since several months, Gravon has a full working backup system to which i can switch everything if the server should fail another time. But switching to backup will have to be done manually resulting in some hours of downtime. Thats all i can do about server failures at the moment.

Lets hope the new hardware i installed last year will keep running for some months now

Best regards
spion
