In a very exciting battle Zach defeated Playa1 with 3-1 in the final!

Zach really showed his improvement the last time and proved to be a topplayer. He really deserved to win this tourney. At the moment there are very few people who can beat him!

Well done Zach!

Also congratulations to playa2 (little joke

) who also played an excellent tournament! Although he was first seeded and very much wanted to win this final, Im sure he is satisfied with his progression. Also he had a little revenche by beating Zach in a fun game afterwards.

For all players thanks for playing this tournament and thanks for all help. I think it was a very competitive tournament and a challenge for everyone. The level of play was pretty high and I am sure many players learnt a lot from it, I sure did. Last but certainly not least I think it was a very sportive tournament!

I would like to follow up by first saying thank you to Ruben.

And then as an organizer it was very easy and pleasureable.

Really enjoyed playing on Gravon since a long time and this tournament triggered me. Will participate in future tournaments for sure.

Zach, Playa and Psycho, congrats with the medals. And thanks for the nice games. I think I enjoyed it most, since I played most games this tournament!
A well organized, exciting tournament. Thank you Ruben, Zach, and Stratego. Any plans for a next tournament? Hope to see some of you in Breda (Netherlands) on Saturday 29/6.

Congrats Zach - I used to view you as a good player who deployed a heavy dose of lotto to win games, and found myself beating you sometimes because of this (well placed bombs etc) but this shows you have developed into a world class player now. There were some big names in the event such as Ace, GB, DC Annies and Playa1, so to come through it was no mean feat. It's quite ironic that the player who helped set the event up went on to win it!
